Building Family Ties in the Midst of COVID-19
7:30-8:30pm
*Appropriate for parents and adults only - Spanish translator available*
As families navigate a “new normal” in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many are feeling isolated while others are feeling overwhelmed and taxed. Our families are facing new challenges, but we can benefit from identifying ways to stay connected with one another in the midst of a global crisis. Join Dr. Goudelock for a brief presentation wherein she will identify common family concerns and discuss ways to manage COVID-19 as a family unit through slowing down to build connections. After the presentation she will respond to any questions.
Please help Dr. Goudelock prepare for this session by taking this survey.

WEDNESDAY (27th)

An Evening with Francine Rivers (Novelist & Screenwriter)
7:30-8:30pm
*Appropriate for 6-12 students and their parents*
Francine Rivers is joining us to discuss her novel (and now screenplay) Redeeming Love! The book, which will be released as a film in theaters next year, is a great way to start conversations with kids about love, dating, and self-esteem. Since 2017, Rev. Goodman (deacon at CCRIO) has used the text to inspire young women to know their worth, encourage young men to understand the ramifications of how they treat women, and inform students about the dangers of human trafficking in South Texas.
The prologue of Redeeming Love is available to read here.
